with Pema Khandro Rinpoche
March 4th, 11am - 5:30pm

This retreat focuses on meditation and prayers drawn from one of the most important figures in Buddhist history, the female Buddha, Yeshe Tsogyal. The legend of this female Buddha of Tibet and founding figure of the Nyingma lineage is an example of authentic discipleship, enlightened romance, facing violence, dealing with spiritual politics and transforming obstacles, demonstrating the entire path from beginning to ultimate fruit. A story of overcoming incredible obstacles, she became the student and partner of Padmasambhava, the Indian Yogi who is credited with converting Tibet to Buddhism.

This weekend we learn Yeshe Tsogyal's mantra and meditation, contemplate her teaching on transforming misfortune into the path and practice the prayer for Carrying Joy and Sorrow on the Path from the Pegyal treasure teaching.

Monday March 6th
Monday March 13th
7:00 - 8:30 PM

A simple talk, meditation, and forum about your true nature. Perfect for those who are thirsty for the deepest truth of existence. If you're seeking enlightenment, awakening, or "spiritual evolution" come take rest in this gathering and pause seeking-game for a moment.

Tharyn Taylor is a young teacher with a refreshing perspective on enlightenment and the journey of awakening. For nearly a decade he looked for the truth & God in every corner of his mind and being. He sharpened his understanding of universal principles to the highest degree - fully comprehending how life unfolds through dozens of realizations, but still having a giant void of confusion about self realization and awakening. Gradually he noticed his true nature through self inquiry and direct looking. Now Tharyn shares talks with the intention that others may bypass the long road of seeking through their conceptual mind and step into a direct experience of their true nature right now. It just is.

* 30 min. The Talk
* 15 min. Guided Meditation & Self Inquiry
* 30 min. Question & Answer

$5-10 Donation (none turned away). Pay at the door.

Cosmic Dance
with DJ Moody Shapes and Light Facilitation by Brynne Flidais
Saturday, March 11th, 8:00-10:00PM

We dance and move and breathe to feel the cosmic pranic life force swirling within us...

DJ Moody Shapes (aka Michael Reinhold) has a passion for music that inspires ecstatic movement. He is always looking for the unique sonic gems that give a sense of permission to move in ways you may have never moved before, to light up the dance floor with the joy of discovery and the unexpected. Drawing from the freshest of world and electronic music, his sets span an eclectic swath of tempos and genres, taking dancers on an adventurous journey of freeform expression.

Brynne Flidais brings Light Facilitation and Cosmic Channeling to the dance floor, infusing our movement exploration with cosmic knowledge.
Just as the moon's force pulls the ocean's tides, our bodies are influenced by the movements of celestial spheres. Blending our moving meditation with astrological wisdom facilitates a deep understanding of how the dance of the planets is connected to our physical, emotional, and spiritual selves. This practice strengthens the subtle messages of our inner and outer universes, enabling us to more tangibly manifest our soul's purpose."

Please help us hold the container of this dance ... please no talking in the space, you are invited to communicate through your body and movement ... please request permission through eye contact or playful dance before making contact, and respect others' choice to dance alone -- hands-to-the-heart (namaste) is a good way to say "no thanks" or to end a dance... please no chemical colognes or perfumes (for those of us with sensitivities)... please respect others' inner journey and dance space... please turn your cellphone to mute. ♥

Ecstatic Dance
Saturday, March 25th, 7:00-10:00pm

Ecstatic Dance Santa Cruz is a unique expression of a global movement; hosted and DJ'd by Hamid Martin and special guests.

Ecstatic Dance is a DJ'd, free-form dance/movement meditation experience. This can be a practice of surrendering to the moment and to our body's wisdom. It is an opportunity for allowing, feeling, and expressing all the emotional qualities and textures that make up this human experience; and for exploring what artistry moves through us/ as us in this expression.

You are invited to explore your inner landscape--alone and in community. What is it like to be in an environment that welcomes our inner chaos and un-groundedness? Also, what is it like to be firmly rooted in our own center, true to ourselves, while sharing space and interacting with others on the dance floor? And what unfolds when we carry this embodied truth and freedom beyond the dance floor, into our daily lives?

Also, please visit for more information supporting this global movement.
